FAMILY GET TOGETHER AT UMM AL QUOIN

The UAQ Overnighter picnic, held at the Pearl Hotel on Nov 2, 2006, was a great triumph. Around Forty Alumni, spouses, children and friends attended the get together. Senior Members from as far back as 1981 were able to re-establish old friendships, get acquainted and share MACE stories with a vociferous & highly energetic fresh 2005 graduates (a special mention of members from Nael Group). Snacks and soft drinks along with access to the bar and the multitude of incidents covering the span of the Institute stimulated a lot of discussions and reminiscing.

Thursday Evening, early arrivals sipped Chilled Beverages and enjoyed a glorious evening in the deck area and the children had a whale of time in the Swimming Pool area. People arrived, snacked on various tidbits and hung out while enjoying the beautiful & glorious weather. After that, it was time for MACE's Self introduction; a great Barbequed Dinner and a nerve whacking Water polo match which shattered all Boundaries.

All campers woke up to a Glorious Sunrise. Everyone was up very early, determined not to waste even a single minute of fun. After a sumptuous Breakfast, all gathered in the indoor hall for games and competitions. Jomy K Jose took over the Children's' competitions. Then we had a lot of competition for ladies and bachelors with John Emmanuel at the helm.

Enter Bijy M Thomas, and the morning took a spiraling upward turn. Antakshari started with two teams. The Haves (Married) and the Have-nots (Bachelors). These competitions had let all the rats inside all on a loose and we grabbed the open buffet with both hands (and legs too).

The Lunch was excellent and all were quiet for a major part of time.
Evening came; everyone packed their bags, said their good-byes and promised to return to on the next reunion.
